Black Rock have used a greater proportion of specialty malt in the Bock extract kit which ensures a malty flavour and dark appearance in accordance with the style of a German Bock. The bitterness in this beer is muted but does a fine job of balancing the malt character.
This kit requires either 1kg of brewing sugar or dextrose (not included) however for best results we recommend a can of Black Rock Light Malt Extract
or Dark Malt Extract
if you wish to further darken the beer. We also suggest replacing the yeast with Saflager W-34/70
and fermenting between 12 and 16C for an optimal outcome.
